Ricky and Joel met around 15 years ago. Their girls went to school and played soccer together. Over drinks one night Ricky mentioned he sang and played guitar. Joel told him he had been in a band in my 20’s and played piano and guitar. They decided to get a little “garage band” going, which turned out to be a weekly adventure in Joel’s warehouse. They ended up putting a 5 and sometimes 8 person band together with a repertoire of around 40 songs. They played for themselves and for whoever dropped by during the next few years. They played at each of their daughters Bat Mitzvahs. During their time together they would occasionally break into original musical riffs which led to writing their own songs. They share a common passion which is to write and record radio quality original songs, mostly for their own pleasure. They commission the best studio musicians to play on their songs with us. For example, Dan Wojciechowski is the drummer playing on the How’s Your Life video, he is currently on tour with Peter Frampton, and has toured with LeAnn Rimes and Olivia Newton John.
Joel founded Fabulous Floors in 1987 and remain an active owner-President of the company. He has been married 25 years this December and has three beautiful children. Ricky D. has worked at the Stephen Gould Corporation since 1992, is happily married to Julie and has 3 beautiful daughters.
